The SIGNATURE line offers sophisticated, proprietary designs with vibrant colors (this means more glaze materials and longer time to paint). The bowls are twice the weight of our DAPPER line which means our material cost is twice as much as well as longer kiln firing times. We are extremely particular with this line of bowls and will reject one for simple "problems" or a slight blemish. The raised dog diners are hand welded in a manufacturer's Decatur, GA shop (yes, that's the good ole' USA, amazing isn't it?). We use a three stage finishing process called powder coating to prevent rust and scratches All raised pet feeders are "catch proof" in design to ensure that your pet's tag won't snag or catch on the frame To find the appropriate size stand just match the size of the bowl with the size of the stand (i.e. any XS bowl will fit any XS raised diner). Raised Diners aid in digestion and skeletal alignment and better yet helps the pet to be less messy SIGNATURE LINE stands are 3/8" DAPPER LINE stands are 1/4" DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 3/8" AND 1/4" STANDS: 1/4" raised feeders are less expensive because the cost of the rod (iron) is half the price, welds do not need to penetrate as much material and so our welder can go faster, cutting and fabricating of thinner rod is easier and quicker and the powder coating process is able to run faster due to lighter rod not needing to be heated as much in the coating and curing process (powder coating is a very expensive procedure so this saves quite a bit). Both stands are a great value. The 1/4" is only available in limited styles and sizes due to its strength and Melia's quality standards. It is a great alternative to the 3/8" raised dog feeder as an economical choice. When the stands are viewed together the 3/8" raised dog feeder definitely gives a more substantial look and feel for those customers looking for luxury and truly the best raised feeder available.
